Last day in San Antonio before Orlando folks! Yay! Time to get everything ready to go~ I am so pumped.
So today was pretty fast and busy (maybe also do in part that I woke up about an hour later than usual) so I needed a good running start, and like I said, I’ve been getting into a Kashi kick, and I am liking it~
This morning I had two of their GO LEAN blueberry waffles (I over toasted them, but the waffles them selfs were great) topped with butter spray and cinnamon, Oikos plain yogurt mixed with a scoop of whey protein powder (vanilla) & ground cinnamon, and of course a hot cup of herbal tea. It was a very nice filling breakfast to wake up to~ And since I got my blueberry fix I wasn’t tempted at all making them some large blueberry and crumble muffins witch they adored, and I munched on an apple for snack.

Then not-so-shortly afterwards my Dad dropped my sister Niki and I off at the YMCA, while he went to go pick up his suits, and I tried these new to me things called “sport beans”, by Jelly Belly, supposedly like an energy drink kind of thing in Jelly Bean form? Well I read more of the package as I was waiting to be picked up when I was finished and your suppose to eat a pack like before during AND after… which I guess would be worth it for a triathlon etc runner but not for my purposes and I quiet honestly didn’t feel much different (I excepted as much of course, but they were still as good as any other Jelly Bean lol).

When I got back I wasn’t really hungry at all even though it was about two, so I knew that wasn’t good because I was a tad hungry in the middle of my work out (well, thats kind of weird for me too) So I made something absolutely YUM YUM YUM YUMMY and protein packed for my after work out meal!

I have had this salad idea in mind for awhile but haven’t gotten around to actually making it but today I finally did, and it was fantastic (I’ll put up the recipe, on the recipe page~) Packed with protein from the Boca Chili and chicken, then fiber from the home-made low carb tortilla strips, and baby greens made this salad very filling for an extra half hour longer work out ^^ (Plus a short bike ride later, in which I had a frozen vitatop afterward)
My day was a bit too busy to blog more on that point (AKA my cell phone died when we went out to fire wok)
Anyways once it is revived I will put up a pick of my new hair cut! (Wait, may be awhile since… I AM GOING TO DISNEY TOMORROW WOO!)

Ehhh, today was so slow and cravingly. Despite the fact I woke up a bit later and had what I thought to be my more filling breakfasts (I think most of my snacking today goes to boredom T.T )
So ya, I got up around 8:20 today (I usually wake up at about 6:30-7:20) and had an egg white and cheddar cheese omelet with ketchup, two strips of turkey bacon (nuked in microwave today XP ), and two pieces of light, high fiber toast and two teaspoons of margarine. Simple actually, but good. And I also got to make my sisters and one of their friends french toast with the french toast bread from hill country fair I found at
H-E-B, along with some sausage and cut up strawberries w/ sugar, which she loved the most. (I don’t think I was ever really “hungry” at all today, it was probably boredom I got confused with hunger etc.)
And an apple for a mid morning snack. Then, lunch was actually YUMMY ^^ because I tried the banana nut vita top for the first time, well two actually ^^; (you guessed it, I had them frozen) and a banana, and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and about two tablespoons of fiber one and cinnamon. Then I was off to the gym!
When I got back from the gym I decided to have a pack of tuna for a protein kick, then boredom struck and I ate two chocolate vitalicious product in a row around 2:30 (Mint and brownie) despite probably still being full from my previous snack *sigh* PS, I can’t believe all of the vitatops actually managed to fit into that one freezer drawer he-he.
Still we went to Double Dave’s and I let myself get a little something at the salad bar and then had a slice of their dessert pizza (because it IS amazing and I worked hard at the gym today, plus I need to learn to let my self indulge every now and then ^^; , I think it’s a big step from last time I went there and cried because I took a sip of regular coke!) PLUS I won three stuffed animals out of the crane machine with just the quarters in my wallet (Maybe two and a half dollars worth)
And last but not least we went to super target while my Dad was forced to buy new suites for job interviews (poor man, he hates spending money on himself, clothes wise, he feels weird) and I got some stuff for me and hopefully some things my sisters will enjoy (Good lord knows I try XP )

Drat, yet again, I have started a project that I have taken a week to come back to T.T
But! As the title may suggest, we gave up looking for my old cell phone (May you RIP Mr. Instinct) and while my Mom and two other sisters Niki & Dani took a spontaneous two day trip to the beach, my Dad, Jesi, and I all went to get me a new phone: a Blue SAMSUNG Exclaim, I actually quiet like it. Which was followed by a night of bowling, crane game winning, and Alamo Cafe! (Plus SLEEP, interesting how having half the family gone makes the house so nice and quiet)
Thankfully, with my new phone I will be able to ( for one actually become social with my friends again, GASP) just send my pics of my meals straight to my computer! So I won’t have to remember to go get a freaking camera each time, witch (next GASP) will able me to really do this whole food journal thing (Probably).
Sadly, I only got a couple shots of my last two breakfasts since, well, everything else wasn’t all that exciting and it didn’t occur to me…. With planning for Disney and all ^^; (WOOT we got tickets ready and everything, it’s actually going to happen!!!)
I’ll start posting pics soon!

Yay! It is now the beginning of my very first food journal/blog!
Why? Well for many reasons but mainly: I love the concept and I love reading others and always collecting new recipes, and meal ideas from others. So I decided it might be fun to join in on the fun~
My name is Sam, or Sami if you prefer. I am a sixteen year old girl who loves cooking, color guard, art, music, exercise, design, dance, and much more. I am the eldest in my family and have three younger sibling (all girls/sisters). Since the 5th grade I have managed to go from being a 5’4 145 pound kid to sixteen 5’8 and 110 pound young women, and my goal is to stay there! And share my ideas on food, cooking, etc here while I try to balance my, to be perfectly honest, insane family and roller coaster life, and hopefully meet a few nice people along the way ^^
